Paris Landing Fire Department
15616 Highway 79N
Buchanan, TN 38222
Our Door to Door Smoke Alarm Campaign on May 6, 2017 was a great success. Approximately 200 residences were visited and 119 new smoke alarms were installed! Our Thanks to the TN State Fire Marshall's office and all the volunteers who helped make it a success.
We are fortunate to be a recent recipient of an Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the Department of Homeland Security. This Grant is in the amount of: $192,000.00. Of this amount Homeland Security will fund 95% of the amount and we will be responsible for 5% of the total cost. This Grant is specifically marked to replace old and outdated Firefighter Personal Protective and Safety Gear. As a result we are replacing all of our old Self Contained Breathing Apparatus and turnout gear. The old ones were purchased in 1998 and are outdated and worn out. The new air packs feature such items as increased air supply allowing firefighters to operate longer without stopping to replace air tanks. Built in Thermal Imaging Cameras allowing firefighters to locate victims in heavy smoke as well as locate hidden fire inside walls and ceilings. See the pictures

We want to wish everyone a Safe and Happy 4th of July
Please remember the following safety tips:
Never allow children to handle or ignite fireworks.
Be sure other people are out of range before lighting fireworks.
Never throw or point fireworks at people or animals.
Only light fireworks outdoors on a smooth, flat surface away from homes, dry leaves and flammable materials.
Never try to relight fireworks that have not fully functioned.
Keep a water supply nearby in case of a malfunction or fire.
Wear eye protection.
We respond to all calls regardless of whether someone's membership donation has been received or not. However, payment of the $40.00 guarantees that there is never any charge to you or your insurance company in the event of a fire. Procedures set up by our community require, in the event of a fire, that we send an invoice of $1500.00 to anyone whose membership is not paid. Our firefighters receive no pay for what they do. Please help them to continue to help you.
Please help our Volunteers to help you!
